Support for Your Story

The Story Map guides each Threshold Stories Author in crafting their story, with a  Writing Guide especially designed for emerging writers and authors. You can engage in writing circles to support your writing and to get questions answered. And, of course, Gretchen, your friendly Village editor will be there every step of the way.

A Beautiful Published Book

The Threshold Stories books will be professionally edited and designed collection. Your story will include your photo and a bio. Books will be available in softcover readers edition and a keepsake hardcover edition. All authors will receive a hardcover edition and the ability to buy copies at cost.

The Village—A Community Beyond the Book

Membership in The Village gives you access to workshops, Campfire Stories, roundtables, and other opportunities to build community. As a Threshold Stories Author, you will have the opportunity to tell your story at a Campfire gathering, be featured in a newsletter, and announce your own author news.

A Platform for Your Work

Even seasoned authors often struggle with marketing and visibility. As a Threshold Stories Author, you will be featured on the Village of Care website as a Founding Author. As a part of marketing for the series, Village of Care will be launching a YouTube channel in January 2027 and you will be invited to a roundtable discussion. We will offer marketing and branding workshops just for authors. You will have the highest level of visibility within The Village. You will also receive preferred pricing for any project you do with Village of Care Press.  As our community grows, we intend to increase opportunities for our Threshold Stories Authors. And we are open to your ideas!
